Exhibition Park Raceway is the home of Jacob, the nation’s winningest horse in 2008.
Jacob, a six-year-old son of Blissfull Hall, has racked up 20 wins this season for owners Kenny Fudge and David Mitchell. That ranks him first in the nation and third in North America. Only Fernbrook Fiasco N (22) and Hogies Cam (21) have racked up more wins this season.
Rookie driver Chris Davies was in the drivers seat for the milestone victory during yesterday’s matinee program at EPR. The pacer stopped the clock in 2:02.2. It was a special moment for the owners, as it's the first-time since 1997 the Maritimes has produced a 20-win performer in a single season.
Meanwhile, on the strength of three winners, Todd Trites now sits at 196-wins on the season and will be looking to add to his totals next Saturday at Exhibition Park.
