In what was his first charted line since August 30, Buckeye One, with trainer/driver Rick Zeron, made his return during the Friday morning qualifying session at Mohawk Racetrack.

Zeron and the seven-year-old gelded son of Park Place left from Post 2 and occupied the two hole through fractions of :29.1, :58.4 and 1:27.2. Buckeye One, a winner of 36 races and over $1 million in career earnings, came on in the stretch and got up on the pace-setting Alexis Hall. The final margin of victory was a nose. The mile was clocked in 1:56.2.

Other winners on the morning included Western Seduction (1:57), La Dolce (2:00.1), Bucknell Hanover (2:00.2), Master Pine (2:00.3) and Get Out Of Dodge (1:55.3).
