WEG Appoints New Board Members

The Woodbine Entertainment Group has announced the appointment of Bob Aziz and Ed Hannah to its Board of Directors.

Aziz is the Executive Vice-President & Chief Legal Officer for the Oxford Properties Group responsible for overseeing management of legal risk in respect of Oxford’s business operations in Canada, the United States and Europe. He is also the Lead Director for Brewers Retail Ltd., one of four independent directors appointed to the board of the Beer Store by the Ontario Government.

Aziz is the Member of Management Committee for Ontario University Athletics (OUA) and current board member and past Board Chair and Campaign Chair of The Lighthouse. He served as Chair of the Board of the Oakville Hospital Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors of the Sick Kids Foundation.

In addition, Aziz has been appointed to the organization’s Governance and Compliance Committee.

Hannah is the Founding Partner for the Karama Investment Partnership, which provides strategic and transaction consulting services to various clients involved in venture investing, agriculture, gaming and horse racing.

Hannah currently serves on board of The Dave Andreychuk Foundation and serves as a Director of the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Science, a registered charity promoting science in Canadian schools. Hannah has served on many boards including the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation., Pro-Elite Inc., Sun-Times Media Group Inc., Score Media Inc. and as Chair of Canadiana Financial Corporation.

Hannah will serve on the organization’s Audit Committee.
