Standout Year For St. Louis

Published: December 10, 2008 09:02 pm EST

Year end statistics are not in just yet but that does not matter for 20-year-old driver Marc St. Louis, Jr., who has already reached a remarkable career milestone.

St. Louis is among the rising stars of the industry who has enjoyed a standout season. The resident of Swartz Creek, Michigan has established himself as a regular driver on the Southwestern racetracks of Ontario and in the process he has made 2008 his first million dollar year.

In his second full season of racing, St. Louis has more than doubled his wins and purse earnings. The young reinsman has recorded 264 wins so far with $1,091,774 in earnings.

St. Louis is the third driver this month to make headlines for surpassing the magical milestone. Doug McNair (18) and Scott Zeron (19) have also banked over $1 million in purses this year.

Good Job Marc, you have won some big purses in Toronto, also remembering your big win in the Slot Cup at Sarnia,i hope you keep on going to the top.

Congratulations to the young man on a wonderful year. He occasionally drives down here at Raceway Park, and he always tries to put his horse in a position to win or get a share. Very smart kid. Much better than the veteran drivers here.

Sports Creek purse average: $1,800
Hazel Park purse average: $2,400
Windsor purse average: $4,500

WEG purse average: $23,000

The effort becomes more amazing when you compare the purse
structure the kid races for.

Congratulations to another up and coming young driver. It should be pointed out that Marc has raced all over southwestern Ontario, including Sarnia, Dresden, London and Woodstock. The $1 million is a great accomplishment considering it has all been made at the B tracks.

Great photo! Does the photographer have a website. Good Luck.

Congratulations Marc on great year.
Hope to see you in Toronto when
that eyesore in Windsor closes.

Great job Marc, keep up the great year by winning the Windsor driving title. I wish you good luck and best wishes.

The career is off to a great start and I'm glad that Mark chooses to drive many of my horses at Windsor. Hopefully we can get to the "big show" together.

Good year for the youngster.
Hopefully he keeps it up.
He should get out of Windsor it is a dying track.
