After winning the Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final last month, regally-bred Forbidden Trade hasn't finished his freshman year yet and he's got Grand Circuit action in his sights.

Regular driver Bob McClure told Trot Insider that Forbidden Trade is gearing up for his first stateside start in the 2018 Valley Victory. Eliminations for the Valley Victory are slated for November 17 (if needed) at The Meadowlands with the $400,000 Final the week after on November 24.

The 2018 OSS Super Final champ returned to the track after that championship win with a qualifier on November 1 at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Under less than ideal conditions, Forbidden Trade closed strongest to trip the timer in 2:01.3, followed up by a nine-length 1:59.1 triumph on November 8.

Trained by Luc Blais for Determination of Montreal, Que., Forbidden Trade (Kadabra - Pure Ivory) sports seven wins from nine starts in his rookie campaign, including a Canadian record 1:56.4 mile at Grand River and his lifetime best 1:56.2 in the OSS Super Final at Mohawk. The $110,000 yearling boasts a bankroll in excess of $277,000 thus far.
