Fans at Truro Raceway on Sunday afternoon were treated to a pair of $14,440 Donnie & George Turner Memorial divisions for three-year-old pacers, with Ramblinglily and The Rev winning their respective assignments.

Ramblinglily beat the boys in the first division for the tandem of driver Brodie Macphee and trainer Jean Belliveau. The daughter of Articulator-Crafty Jewel rallied to a neck decision over Forever Paradise in 2:00.3. Untouchable One, who was sent off as the 1-5 favourite in the eight-horse affair, set fractions of :28.1, :59.3 and 1:31.1 before fading to finish a lapped-on third.

Sent off at odds of 5-1, Ramblinglily won for the 10th time this season for owner Normand Leger of Shediac, New Brunswick. The 14-time winner boosted her lifetime earnings to $76,081 with the win.

The Rev captured the second division in front-stepping fashion for trainer/driver Danny Romo, who whacked out fractions of :29.3, 1:01.1 and 1:29.3 with the colt before using a :29.2 closing quarter to secure the win in 1:59. It was 3-3/4 lengths back to runner-up Watersides Kipper, with Jacobs Jackpot third best.

The public sent The Rev off as the 1-2 favourite, and the son of Western Paradise-Red Sea didn’t disappoint for the partnership of Robert Skinner, Jeffrey Skinner, Stephen Tufts and GLB Stable. The colt is now 8-for-14 this season and 13-for-27 in his career. He’s managed to rack up purse earnings totaling $68,945 to date.
