He’s become quite the familiar face at the Meadowlands Racetrack over the years, but it has been announced that Justin Horowitz will be moving on.

In a social media post, the Meadowlands’ media relations manager and on-air personality announced that he will be moving on after having spent a combined seven and a half years with the Meadowlands and Tioga and Vernon Downs.

Horowitz has stated that his final day with the company will be December 12.

“Starting in January I, will begin an exciting new opportunity working in key accounts with TVG and Betfair,” Horowitz wrote. “Thank you to everyone that I have worked with over the years, especially Jason Settlemoir, who gave me opportunities in this business that I never thought I would have.”

Horowitz also wrote, “I am grateful to have worked so closely with Sam McKee, who friendship, guidance, and passion are still missed every day.”

News of Horowitz’s exit comes just a few months after co-worker Jenn Bongiorno transitioned to training Standardbreds and also joined the broadcast team at Cal Expo.

Horowitz also took to praise fellow co-worker Dave Brower. “I have been honoured to share the broadcast desk with one of the classiest, sharpest minds in our game, Dave Brower. I will miss all the fun we had for five hours a night.

“I wish all the best to everyone at the Meadowlands. I will still be in New Jersey and look forward to seeing everyone at a racetrack in the future.”
