His Boy Elroy scored his second straight victory in Truro Raceway's featured $1,475 Winners Over Pace on Sunday afternoon (November 27).

Trained and driven by Bernard McCallum, the four-year-old son of Jeremes Jet went wire-to-wire in 2:01.1 over a slow track due to winter-like weather conditions, winning by three and three-quarter lengths over Desir Dorleans (Todd Trites) and favourite Surrealist (Paul Langille).

His Boy Elroy has earned four wins and four second-place finishes in his last eight Truro starts for owner Dan MacRae of Baddeck, N.S.

In other action, the Edgar Jacobs-trained pacer Fleetwood Cam was back in action on Sunday and earned his first win since being involved in the November 12 accident at Northside Downs that left three drivers injured. Meanwhile, local horsemen continue efforts to assist the injured drivers by committing a percentage of their horse's earnings at Truro to a fundraising initiative arranged by track photographer Kyle Burton.
