Catapulting off a fast pace, Easy Lover Hanover launched to a half-length victory in the $34,000 Preferred Pace at Woodbine Mohawk Park on Saturday, Nov. 17 for his second consecutive score.

Brave World bolted for the lead with Rockin In Heaven securing the pocket from the rail post heading to a :26.1 opening quarter. Physicallyinclined, parked from fourth, marched towards the leader but failed to clear as Brave World increased speed to a :53.4 half.

Physicallyinclined began to drop out of contention heading into the final turn while Brave World tripped three-quarters in 1:21.4. Easy Lover Hanover, positioned fifth, angled off the rail turning into the stretch and quickly reeled in the faltering leader. Rockin In Heaven rallied from a pocket trip but settled for second ahead of Always A Hotshot closing for third.

A five-year-old gelding by Somebeachsomewhere, Easy Lover Hanover won his sixth race from 24 starts this season and his 31st from 81 overall, earning $759,449. Brad Grant owns the Ben Wallace trainee and Doug McNair drove the $3.10 winner.
