Caesars Entertainment Corp. could announce this week that it is purchasing Centaur Gaming's Hoosier Park casino and Indiana Grand casino for more than $1 billion, according to a report.

Bloomberg News has stated that Caesars is in the final stages of negotiations, according to an article by the Indianapolis Business Journal.

If the deal ultimately goes through – which is something the IBJ states ‘could be complicated’ – Caesars would then a total of four casinos in the state of Indiana. State law currently prohibits a single company from owning more than two gambling licences in Indiana.

The Indiana Gaming Commission would have to give its approval for the sale.
