Eight-year-old pacing mare Waterside Lucky continued her current streak and made the 50th trip of her career to the winner's circle on Saturday afternoon at Northside Downs.

Waterside Lucky took the lead after the first quarter and drew off to a six and a quarter length victory in 2:01.3 in the afternoon's sixth race. The milestone win was also her fifth in a row and 14th this year.

The Yankee Leader mare, a career winner of $153,775, was claimed two races into her current streak in Northside's Governors Pub & Eatery $1,500 Claiming Series on Oct. 25 from the Walter Walker barn. Greg Sparling has since been handling the training and driving duties for new owners Dennis MacNeil and Darrell MacAulay of Sydney, N.S.

Sparling also drove Boknows Momngranny to a 2:00.3 victory on the card in the $1,200 top pacing class for trainer John Hawco and owner Thomas Hawco Jr. The win was the seven-year-old gelding's 12th this year and 25th lifetime.
