Another Rideau Triple For Copley

Jamie Copley added to his totals as the top dash-winning trainer at Rideau Carleton Raceway with another three-win night on Thursday (November 1).

Copley captured back-to-back races mid-card, finding the winner's circle with first-time stable starters Nineteen Roses (1:59; $15.80) in the fourth race and then again in the fifth with HP Pandora (1:56, $2.10) before concluding his evening with a successful Goldies Bad Girl (1:57, $3.90) in the ninth race. Copley batted 1.000 on the evening, winning with every starter he sent postward. Each winning horse was guided by driver Guy Gagnon.

The hat-trick performance gave Copley more daylight on Yves Tessier for the training title at Rideau Carleton. Copley’s Thursday evening haul bumped his seasonal total to 68 wins at the Ottawa Oval, eight ahead of Tessier.
