Opening week for the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes eliminations for two-year-olds continued Wednesday at Harrington Raceway as six divisions of trotters were contested.

The most noteworthy division was the latter of three colt and gelding divisions, in which Bib Roberts, Graham Grace Stables and M&W Stables LLC’s Egosnattitudes ($10.60, Jon Roberts) reset the track record for freshman trotting geldings with a 2:00.3 victory. The Great George Two-Aerobic Linda gelding reeled in pacesetting favourite Save The Night in deep stretch for the upset win. Trained by Bib Roberts, Egosnattitudes earned his first career win.

The remaining colt divisions were contested off the wagering program, with Stephane and Brian Cassell’s Political Foe (Eddie Dennis, 2:02.4) and Bob Shahan and Don Marine’s Political Cash (Allan Davis, 2:01.4) prevailing.

The fastest filly division went to another Bib Roberts trainee, Callmemza ($40, Jon Roberts), who overcame post eight for a wire-to-wire win in 2:02.1. The Great George Two-Endorphan Annie filly notched her second win in three career starts.

Driver Victor Kirby piloted six winners, including a victory in an elimination for the trotting fillies with Sign N Drive ($4.60, 2:02.3). Carlo Poliseno and Foulk Stable’s Penny Paratrooper ($3, Ross Wolfenden, 2:04.2) won the remaining filly division.

It was a banner night for Kirby, who reached at a new personal best at Harrington. He picked up a trio of his victories quickly by winning three in a row from races two through four with Windsong Ingenius ($3), Bettor And Bold ($3) and Master Bedroom ($8.60), with the latter two being trained by Jim King Jr.

Ross Wolfenden and Jon Roberts each had three wins, while Eddie Dennis had a double.
