Roll With Sparky was a front-stepping winner in Thursday’s $7,500 feature for filly and mare pacers at Vernon Downs.

Roll With Sparky and driver Shawn McDonough controlled fractions of :26.3, :56.1 and 1:23.4 before closing in :27.4 for the 1:51.3 win. Love To Roll (Rocknroll Hanover) would settle for second best. Bye Bye Michelle (Chris Lems) finished third.

Owned by Paul Tandlmeyer, Lee Winters, and trainer Jim Graham, the three-year-old filly would hold off a late charge by the favourite Love To Roll (John MacDonald) to win with ease.

Roll With Sparky, a daughter of Roll With Joe, picked up her ninth win of the season and improved her lifetime win total to 11. She paid $7.10 to win.

Leading driver John MacDonald pushed his win total to 157 for the season at Vernon Downs thanks to wins with ABC Crown Me Queen in 1:55.4 and Strike A Chord in 1:53.3.

Vernon Downs returns to live action on Friday with a nine-race card starting at 6:45 p.m.
