Bannon Inducted Into Etobicoke Hall

Woodbine Entertainment Group Thoroughbred Racing Analyst Jim Bannon was inducted into the Etobicoke Sports Hall of Fame, at the Old Mill Inn & Spa, on Wednesday

, October 27.

In addition to his role as a thoroughbred racing analyst, Bannon, 62, has worked as a guest analyst for CBC Television, covering the Queen's Plate, and is a director of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame.

He has enjoyed great success throughout his 35-year broadcasting career, and has also taught the Canadian Racing Officials Course for thoroughbred racing officials at Humber College.

"What little I have absorbed, I thank you for," Bannon was quoted as saying last night in an article by insidetoronto.com. "If you have a skill, please teach it. If you have an affinity for something, please share it. That's how we're going to build a better Etobicoke."

Others inducted alongside Bannon were Brendan Shanahan, Bob Harris, Brian Hoskins, Gerry Meehan, Ken Gibb and Ted Toogood.
