Cowgirl Hall Strong At The Meadows

Cowgirl Hall endured a brutal first quarter and went on to capture her 13th victory this year in Tuesday’s $18,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.

Cowgirl Hall dueled with Classicality through a wicked :26.4 opening panel before yielding to the pocket. But when Dave Palone sent her out again past the quarter, the five-year-old daughter of Cash Hall-Centerfold Hall, responded willingly. She found the wire in time, holding off the rallying Call To Post by 3/4 lengths in 1:53.2. Better Caviar was third.

Ron Burke trains Cowgirl Hall, who now boasts $619,303 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC, Jack Piatt III and Michael Rosenthal.

Tony Hall and Palone each piloted four winners on the 15-race card.
