With a carryover of $15,673, Hoosier Park Racing & Casino has announced a $40,000 Guaranteed Hoosier High-5 pool for Tuesday, October 24 at Hoosier Park Racing & Casino.

In partnership with the Unites States Trotting Association Strategic Wagering program and the Indiana Standardbred Association, Hoosier Park will offer this signature wager for the 14-race card on Tuesday that is set to begin at 6:30 p.m.

In the last race of the evening, Rock N Tony sat the pocket and exploded past his rivals to pull a 28-1 upset in the final Breeders Crown elimination of the evening for three-year-old pacing colts and geldings. Scoring in 1:50.2, Rock N Tony held off a late surge from Blood Line and Mark Macdonald who were sent off at odds of 41-1. Beckham’s Z Tam and Ricky Macomber Jr. rallied well to finish third at 45-1.

The Hoosier High-5 is featured in the last race of every program at Hoosier Park and features a reduced takeout of 12%. The Hoosier High-5 was approved and added to the wagering menu at the beginning of the 2016 harness racing season and has been well received by the betting public. The Hoosier High-5 is responsible for the season’s biggest payout to date in 2017 with a $23,540.26 winning ticket paid out in early May.
