A change in strategy was exactly what Keep A Secret needed in order for the pacer to find the winner's circle in the Saturday (October 13) feature at Northside Downs.
Usually situated near the back of the pack, driver Roddy Hurley had Keep A Secret challenging early as last week's Winners Over victor, Brother John (Randy Getto) attempted another wire-to-wire score. Brother John was on top of the field of six through fractions of :29.3, 1:00.2 and 1:30.4. Keep A Secret kept the pressure on the pacesetter from the half-mile point onward, setting up a stretch drive showdown at the field turned for home. Brother John fought valiently but couldn't hold off the late kick of his challenger as Keep A Secret connected for a 2:01.1 triumph. Surrealist (Ryan Campbell) completed the triactor.
