Gary Zima of Edmonton, Alberta passed peacefully during the morning of Monday, January 1 with his daughter at his bedside. He was 62.
Zima, who owned and raced horses in Alberta for many years, is survived by his daughter Chrystal (Jeremy); son Gavin; grandchildren Alexis and Jordan; sister Carol (Ron); brother Larry (Carla), and nephews Scott, Thomas, and Matthew. He was preceded by his parents, Helen and Joe; stepmother Donna; brothers, Derek and Vern; and nieces, Leanne and Brianna
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Westlawn Funeral Home, 16310 Stony Plain Road, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
