James Edward 'Jim' Snelgrove of Wallaceburg, Ont. passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance Chatham Campus. He was 62.
Snelgrove, who raced horses at Dresden, Hiawatha, Windsor, and Western Fair through 2002, is survived by his mother Marilyn (née Miller); wife Lou (née Blair); children Matt (Shannon), Jason (Michelle), Jen (Bill), and Trevor (Sarah); 10 grandchildren; and sisters Susan (Paul) Hodgins and Sandy (Dave) Rice. He was preceded by his father James and a son, Jamie.
Visitors will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home, 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, Ont. on Friday (Jan. 5) from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday (Jan. 6) at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with interment to follow in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association may be left at the funeral home.
