Accident In Flamboro's Eleventh Race

A pair of horses were involved in a spill on Saturday afternoon at Flamboro Downs during the eleventh race

During the first turn, JPs Cadet, who was fourth at the rail, broke stride and fell with Mike Langdon in the bike. American Hero was interfered with and driver Robert Shepherd was unseated in the accident.

Double J (Scott Coulter), who finished second, was placed seventh and disqualified for causing interference while racing in the first turn.

Jps Cadet and Langdon appeared to escape serious injury. The seven-year-old Armbro Cadet gelding was up quickly after the spill and Langdon did drive as scheduled in the final race.
