Waxman In Court

The Hamilton Spectator has reported that Dan Waxman will be in court this week against the Ontario Racing Commission

.

The horse owner, who is also now a Kentucky lawyer, is fighting an ORC ruling that confiscating at least $450,000 in prize money and levied a $100,000 fine due to allegedly helping his father, Bob Waxman, hide the ownership of several top-ranked pacers.

As the proceedings got underway yesterday, Waxman's lawyer surprisingly moved to have the allegations thrown out. The lawyer charged ORC staff suppressed evidence of an earlier investigation.
