Southwind Miata Stays Strong

Five-year-old pacer Southwind Miata rolled to the front in her 13th race assignment tonight at Rideau Carleton Raceway showing no signs of hesitation in taking her fifth consecutive win

.

The daughter of Camluck shot to the lead from Post 5 and pulled further and further away from her rivals as each panel passed her by. With Sandy Jones in tow, the post time favourite carved out fractions of :28.3, :59.2 and 1:28.2 en route to victory in 1:58.2.

Star Jimmy (Ted McDonald) finished over three lengths back in second and Shes Got Appeal (Stephane Brosseau) rounded out the top three.

John Macmillan trains and owns Southwind Miata, a 10-time winner who has banked over $80,000 in her career.
