It has been reported that Northlands President and CEO Richard L. Andersen has stepped down.

An article by the Edmonton Sun has quoted Andersen as saying, "I have greatly enjoyed my time and experiences here in Edmonton, however I feel the timing is right for me to now move on to a new opportunity.”

Andersen went on to say, “I want to underscore how proud I am to have been part of this great organization and to also have benefited from building so many wonderful friendships within the community."

The report has quoted Andersen as saying that the decision “was not an easy one,” and that via the Northlands team’s collective efforts he believes that Northlands is “well positioned” for the future.

The article states that Northlands Chief Financial Officer Sharilee Fossum – who is also Northlands’ VP of Corporate Services – will act as president and CEO until a continent-wide search for Andersen’s replacement is concluded.
