"He just didn't know the meaning of quit, it wasn't in his vocabulary. He wasn't the pretty pacer of all, he had to work on his game. He was just the ultimate racehorse."

On today's Trot Radio, driver Paul MacDonell talks about 2010 Cam Fella Award winner Admirals Express. MacDonell was the driver most people associate with the Grey Gladiator as well as the only other horse to win the Cam Fella aside from its namesake. That horse is, of course, Somebeachsomewhere.

"It sure was an honour to drive both those animals, they were spectacular."

MacDonell is now the primary driver of reigning divisional champion and O'Brien Award winner Bigtime Ball, up against Won The West this year. MacDonell tells Trot Radio why the popular pacer cut his 2010 harness racing season short after a second-place finish in the Open this past September.

Borg and MacDonell also discuss MacDonell's latest prospect, My Heart Has Wings, a $120,000 yearling purchase who turned his share of heads at Harrisburg.
