In the final harness race of the decade, driver Paul Davies powered first over with Remember The Party to win the finale of the Tuesday, Dec. 31 card at Century Mile.
Race-favourite Yourlipstogodsears led the field for most of the mile, setting a tempo of :28.2, :57 and 1:26.3. Davies pulled Remember The Party first over moving to the half and drew closer to the pacesetter heading to three-quarters. The four-year-old Party At Artsplace mare continued to slim the favourite’s lead turning into the stretch before drawing to a four-length victory in 1:56.1. Lovethatsixpack, tracking the winner’s cover, gave pursuit from second with Ask For Me finishing third.
Owned by Century Horse Racing Club, Remember The Party won her sixth race from 27 starts this season and her ninth from 47 overall, earning $41,746. Shelly Arsenault conditions the $7.00.
