Effective Friday, October 3 and continuing throughout the month, Monticello Raceway will be adding Friday afternoon cards to its live racing schedule.
With the addition of Fridays the track will have live harness action five days a week -Mondays through Fridays. First race post times will continue to be at 1:10 p.m.
The Golden Storm GB Pacing Series gets underway on October 3 and will continue on consecutive Fridays in October and culminate with a $10,000 final on October 31.
The Golden Storm GB Series is named for the Mighty M track record holder who won 22 races during the 1985 season.
The opening leg has attracted 78 entrants. Four divisions will feature fillies and mares and seven splits are for horses and geldings. Each preliminary leg will be contested for a $4,000 purse.
At series end the pacers with the most points earned over the four weeks of prelims will be afforded the opportunity to race in the $10,000 final.
