Due to the adverse weather conditions that left the southern suburbs of Chicago looking like a hockey rink, Balmoral Park has been forced to cancel its live racing card for Saturday, Dec. 20th, 2008.
Citing unsafe track conditions because of the heavy ice and snow storm that pelted the area late Thursday night and Friday morning horsemen and management agreed to cancel the Saturday card. A meeting will be held at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Sunday to determine the fate of the Sunday program which is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
Balmoral Park will remain open both day and night on Saturday for simulcast wagering on tracks throughout the country.
