Frondeur and Boston Rocks each captured their respective features on the season opener at Tioga Downs on Saturday, May 4.

Frondeur ($5.10) won the $13,699 fillies and mares pace for driver Ridge Warren.

No Cigar Tony (Mike Merton) put up all the early fractions of :27.2, :57.3 and 1:25.1. As they made the turn for home, Frondeur flew right on by to win in 1:54.4. No Cigar Tony had to settle for second money. Prairie Magical (Jim Taggert Jr.) finished third.
